Emeritus Professor of Foresight, Richard Slaughter, has had a long academic career in this discipline. He is a prolific author and writer who has championed first Critical and then Integral Futures approaches. He edited two editions of the Knowledge Base of Future Studies and a third one is under consideration. In this part Richard discusses his beginnings, his inspirations, his mentors and his journey into the foresight community. He also discusses his favourite methods and concepts.
