Here at FuturePod we are always thinking of ways to capture new perspectives, and provide mind stimulating content for our listeners. We are introducing an additional format to complement our traditional mix of interviews, which we are calling the FuturePod conversations.
In this latest podcast, we have two of our previous guests returning for a conversation, Dr John Sweeney from Narxoz University and Riel Miller Head of Futures Literacy and UNESCO.
Guests: Riel Miller and John Sweeney
Host: Peter Hayward
Conversation Question
John initially posed Riel this question:
“Should the field abandon preferred futures? Recently, Richard Slaughter even called into question the efficacy of "alternative futures." Distinguishing between anticipation for "the future" and anticipation for "emergence" also highlights this tension. How can (and must) the futures field shift in both theory and practice to deal with this core tension? “
